Missed the first 4 races due to being stuck in a 2-hour queue to get into the circuit

Hi there,
I always go to BTCC meetings on a Saturday, less people, easier to get to the good positions for photography and no bl**dy traffic.
This was my favourite car of the day: -

Hi Tim.
I got there on Sunday just in time to see that Clio being towed away from Becketts!

I heard about the 2 hour traffic jams Andy, not good, especially as Silverstone have supposed to cured that issue.
Anyway...good pics mate, there aren't that many nice angles on the National circuit. Light looked a bit dull though. The FRenaults shot is tip top!
That Clarkson fella was in the thick of it, had a nasty coming together on the start/finish. Then broke it.
Putting competition winners into racing cars is a great idea....LMAO!!111

Andy
Traffic was crazy, I almost turned back. To all those people who drove up the outside lane and barged in... well I don't like you any more.
If you take a look at Leason's three wheeler you will notice the front wheel is just about to part company as well, there is no retaining nut there either. That has to be one very embarrassed mechanic.
I seemed to be having an off day when it came to photography. I have had to sift through my pictures a few times to get anything I am remotely happy with.

After hearing about the traffic i'm glad i didn't bother going now :D
Nice shots chaps :)
By the way, i quite like the idea of a pic of VBH in the Porker, mainly because you can't hear her annoying schoolgirl squeaking that we have to sufffer when she's on TV

Nicely done Andy.
Have to say that while the shots you've posted are technically spot on, I prefer the group shots of the BTCC and Seat Cupra's on your website to the shots that you posted here - my preference these days is much more towards the group racing shots than the individual car shots. The ones on your website like that are absolutely spot on.
Cheers,
Simon.

Three/Two wheels on my wagon. We had one of the wheel nuts thrown at us, had it radio'd in just as we heard over the radio that he wheel had fallen off. twenty seconds later over the radio heard the other one fell off. Ooops.
Traffic was pants to get out of the actual circuit once on the roads themselves it was fine bar the normal traffic, and all those that can't go racing without a caravan.
Good shots Andy did well as although the racing is good on the car park (national circuit) it does appear photographic positions suck botty (paraphrased some what from one of the tabarded photographers)

VBH? I would ;)
Thanks guys.
Simon - Luffield offered lots of racing shots, but being late in the day meant I was bumping up the ISO. I found it hard to get many racing shots at Becketts.
Dan - was it you putting down the cement dust? I tried to get a shot off the big screen but it was at too much of an angle.

VBH? be nice if she could drive.... Even Maxi Jazz over took her, and he is pants.
yes that would have been my svelt nimble figure you saw on the large screen, laying cement. not a lot of fun doing that whilst a race is on after pushing two cars to safety and basically being really unfit.
