... be cool if all the little buttons and dials on the back and top of the camera would glow in the dark. Random musing ~ perhaps, but just imagine it.

Glow in the dark?
Get luminescent tape or luminescent paint.
Virtually anything that I have that I need to find in darkness, like a flashlight, has a luminescent strip on it.

I'd like to see all the buttons backlit and lit up when the light for the top LCD display is activated.. I don't care much about the back buttons, but I'd like to see this in the top buttons for selecting ISO, AF etc..
I do a lot of night shooting and this would come in handy.. I'm stuck carrying a little flashlight in my camera bag..

I'd like to see them bigger so I don't have to fart around with my glasses all the time.
Either that or look goofy and get a pair of "flipups"

Thanks for the picture of Gitzo. It warms my heart to see him looking so fit.
Have you considered bifocals? I can get you a deal....my brother-in-law is an Optometrist. Myself, I wear trifocals, and can't imagine what comes next.

Tom,
I tried bi-focals and kept dropping things and walking off tall cliffs.
I think I'll try a monocle...might look rather distinguished (or very stupid!)
I believe that the problem stems from my arms getting shorter (must be the water up here)
I'm going to attatch 50lb weights to my arms and see if they won't stretch back to the length they once were. As long as I don't drag my knuckles on the ground when I walk upright, I'll be happy.
Gitzo is doing fine, however he finds it a bit chilly these days. As I type this it is -29C. It is supposed to get balmy tomorrow with a forcast high of -22C. Manybe I can get his lazy a** out of bed and go and take some shots.
Now where did I put that electric blanket :?:

I attached 50 lbs to my waist, and it didn't improve my eyesight a bit.
