Hi all

I am new to these forums having bought a 10D as a New Year pPresent to myself.

What i would like to know is can i use a Metz 45 CL-4 with a 10D and if i can which SCA adaptor do i need.

Yes you can. According to the B&W site these are the things you'll need to use a CL-4 with a D60. I can only assume that this is the same for the 10D, but you should check it out more completely. The prices below are also from the B&H site and are in US$.

In any case you'll need the SCA 3102 ($69.95) and the Extension Cord SCA3000C Converter ($64.95).

I've seen some reports that the newer SCA 3102M2 module is needed for EOS Digitals. I once asked B&H about the version they sold and was told that it was not the M2, though they could get one.

I tried to use a Metz 60CT4 on my 10D after being advised that I needed the M2 version SCA adaptor.
IT DOES NOT WORK.
I could only use the camera in Manual mode and the focus projection light from the adaptor would only work about one in ten attempts at focusing.

In short I bought a 55oEX (wow!) and still continue to use the 60CT4 on my EOS5. I think you are going to be disappointed trying to use your metz but good luck nevertheless.
