So I got really bored tonight and sorted out 6738 photos from my last few events of the season. I figured I may as well sort though and pull out some photos, which eventually balooned into a few hundred that I had to cut down to something more manageable.

Here's a few samples from the batch. I threw the rest of the 75 up on my magazine site linked below, if anyone is interested.

The season started with a bit of craptacular weather at a Canada Cup. Dominick Menard in the monsoon. mont Ste Anne, Canada.

Sweet shots.
What flash setup are you using?

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. Going through my shots I realized that i shoot way too much head on stuff. Great for mags, not so great for product placement in ads. Gotta fix that. Luckily, many of the good ones ended up being money makers.

As for flash, I am using 2 x Vivitar 285Hvs and 1 x 550ex. All 3 are firing off of wizards normally, otherwise i will have 1 or 2 firing off camera and the 550 on camera for fill as low as it can go. They are usually velcroed up trees, pegged into the ground or somehow hung off of course tape poles etc.

How are you carrying around all of that stuff - a backpack? Right now, I'm using three different bags to carry my camera/lenses, flashes, and stands. Are you in areas of the course far from the beaten path? I'd like to shoot MTB, but I'd rather be riding than shooting.

Transcend, Awesome Shots, As Always! I find myself riding more than shooting as well, But I'd like to shoot more riding!

Either one of the huge lowepro photo trekker 2 AW bags, or my preferred method of a photo vest and small lowepro stealth reporter 300 bag with lens canister for my 300. Much easier to move around, and I don't need to be constantly putting my bag down in the muck.

I normally carry 2 bodies, 17-40, 70-200, 300, 50, a half dozen 1g cards, some pec pads and a rocket blower. Then 3 flashes, 3 pocket wizards, extra flash batteries, various cables and an ultrapod for each flash as well as an extra few feet of that garden plant velcro stuff you can get in huge rolls.

edit: hi mike.
