Well, it's a pretty small zoo, but I finally had a chance to use my 70~200L IS. C&C welcome.

When you resize your images you should apply another round of sharpening.
Resizing softens images.

I like No. 3

Use the centre focus so the subject will be in focus so it doesn't lock onto the plants next to the animal.

Instead of using f/11 try using a larger aperture say f2.8 to f/8 your images will be sharper and you can bring the attention to the object that is in focus with a blurred background.

Landscape shots are more suited to f/11 and smaller apertures so the whole scene will be in focus.
