Has anybody looked at the example photo? I'd be very grateful for a reply :D

I recently purchased a Canon S230 from Sears. I have noticed that a few photos have a strange blemish in them. It looks like the photo assist lamp is being photographed. Hmmm.

Is this a known problem or do I have a duff camera?

I get a message saying the page is unavailable when I try to view the pic from your link.

Anyway, it is possible to get 'blemishes' in your pics from the reflection of light from the flash off particles floating in the air, especially and almost exclusively indoors. Its not worth worrying about if in fact that is what you are seeing in your pics...
