I just discovered your corner of the web this morning, and have spent several hours browsing around. Cool.
I've got a 10D and took a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park (in Colorado in the US) in September. Here are some of my favorite shots. I'd appreciate your comments.

Those are great ginormous photos ... I didnt get to look at them all but the first and 3rd picture seemed a touch blurry as for the 2nd one of the cascade, it looks like it could be cropped a lil so its tall with just the flowing water.
Great pictures tho

Oops, my bad. I've resized them so they're not gigantic any more. Sorry 'bout that.

Apart from the first shot which i dont realy like I would have to say that is some excelent work.
Second pic is good but so much exposure gives it a unatural feeling.
Third is absolutely wonderful, realy amazing. Same for fourth and fifth.
Colors in the sixth are realy nice. All in all i would say...WOW!

Warman, can you be more specific about what you don't like about the first shot?
What I do like about it is the blurriness, and that it's somewhat out of focus. It conveys a sense of the liveliness of the moment, to me, more than a tack-sharp, motionless shot would do.
Thanks for your kind words about the other shots.

About the first shot, the overlapsing almost blured out branch is just messy. I think it poisons the shot as it makes what surely must have been a well achieved off focus shot look just wrong.

I agree with Warman - the first shot just looks out of focus. Love the rest of the pic's though.

Ah. Well, I see what you're saying. Nothing I could do about the phantom branch, unfortunately. Moving would likely have caused her to move off too. We were standing only about 3-4 meters away from her.
These animals are not tame, but are somewhat used to us humans invading their space. They're especially nervous in September, though. It's the height of their mating season. That's largely why we go there, then, to be honest. Elk voyeurs, that's what we are.

Thanks, gsmx2. A lot of people seem to like that one. I used it to print xmas cards this past season.
One thing I love about my 10D is I can print this shot huge, on 13x19 paper, and it's still photo quality. (I've got an Epson PS 2200.)
