Still feeling my way round this digital photography

What software do you use? From other threads, it looks like PSE2 is a favorite, but what about the download software. Do you use Zoombrowser EX, or are there better options?

Sorry to ask such basic questions - hope one day to be taking pictures like you guys!

I use Paint Shop Pro 8.1 (www.jasc.com) and Breezebrowswer (www.breezesys.com). Both are very powerful and flexible programs for me. Paint Shop Pro 8.1 is relatively cheap compared to the more pro oriented Photoshop CS....it's $50 on ebay bought without manuals.

Something to think about.

I use Corel PhotoPaint. I find it much easier to use than PhotoShop yet equally as powerful. Also cheaper.

I actually prefer Corel Graphics Suite 11 for all graphics work, and not only because I have used Corel for ten years, but most people around here speak PS and PSE2, so you will likely get more help with them here unless closet Corelers come out of the woodwork more.

ZB is totally Canon oriented, so it is probably better for you until you get deeper in the quagmire and are ready to try something else.

As for photography, that's between you and the camera and primarily being able to see and compose a photo before you even raise the camera to your eye. Try looking through one eye like a cyclops camera...

I also use BreezeBrowser and the Breezesystem Downloader, and for postprocessing Photoshop Elements is enough for me.
