After someone pointed out to me that they got strange result after clicking the RSS2 link, I went a bit into this.

On almost all the EE2 sites i just see xtml/html/php code. No layout or anything. My RSS reader in Firefox 1.5.0.7. with google toolbar gives no results...

So what's wrong? Do we have to configure things? Even on you own site Pekka thing go wrong here....

Never mind the above

After a bit mor investigation i found out how it realy works...
It works like a charm :)

Actually, I tried adding my website (as a test) to Bloglines after I installed the 2.0 update. I received an error message telling me that an RSS feed can not be found.

I know EE isn't a "blog" necessarily, but Bloglines does act as an RSS feed reader. Is there something I can apply at the backend to make this work, or do you have any other reccomendations for feed services (that I can add as a link to the gallery index page)?

Thanks ~

how did you try to add your site? AIUI (As I Understand It) the link is specific... so far, i've only done one and made the "live bookmark" fix in the template for FF... the one that i did is only on my index page so that link is like this...

http://mysite.invalid/rss.php

and this is what would enter in a feedreader if i were to use them... at least, based on my understanding of things ;)

now, because i'm using FF's live bookmarks stuff, i immediately noticed that the links for "10 latest photos" and "latest exhibits" were pointing to the main index rather than somewhere where those photos or exhibits could be seen... in FF, the actual content of those topics doesn't show up so one must actually go to a/the page...

what i've done, and am still working on, is use the "empty.php" file as a raw template so that i can create the two pages for these links using the snippets code... i'm on the track and just need to reread a few messages to clarify what i believe i need to do to get it working ;)
