I just sold my G3, and I'm looking for the best price on the Digital Rebel (with lens kit) in Canada.

The best I found was Tigerdirect.ca, who had it for $1349 with the lens kit.
However, a couple days ago it disappeared from their website, and they told me that they no longer have stock. They couldnt tell me if they were getting more.
The next best price I've found is around $1449.

Anyone seen any lower prices? Or atleast close to the price Tigerdirect used to sell them.

Thanks

Check Golden Electronics store on Yonge in front of Eton Center. They sell it for $1299 (cash only though). www.simonscamera.com (motreal) has pretty good prices too, and you don't pay PST + free shipping. Good luck !

Are there some kind of availability or production problems with 300D? It seems as if nobody suddenly has them around this part of world... (I'm in Finland)

Try Simons Camera in Montreal. As of last week they had a bunch of Drebs in stock

I've dealt with "PC Cameras" before on ebay. they had very good customer service, prices, and they're located in Canada.

Well, I ended up ordering from Simonscameras.

They really seem to have great service, as they reply to emails VERY quickly.
The price was the best I have seen too. Tigerdirect.ca was a little cheaper, but they are not an authorized canon dealer, and their warranty appeared to be from the USA.

I checked out Bestbuy, and they were amoung the most expensive.
They would pricematch Simons, however, I saved $100 tax by ordering out of province :)

Heres to hoping I get one without any factory defects (that's the only drawback ordering online).

Dris,
Simons is a great shop. They have been around for 70+ years. The chap to talk to if you phone is Kevin. He helped me out a lot when I bought my Sigmas just before Christmas.

Thanks again.

Now I can spend that extra $100 on a gadget bag, or CF card, or....

:)

I really hope I dont get one with a stuck/dead lcd pixel on the display.

I went thru three S30's and two G3's that had that problem new out of the box (from a local futureshop so exchanging was somewhat easy).

Simons did assure me that if there is a problem, I can exchange within 10 days.
Sure a dead lcd pixel is only cosmetic, but it still bothers me when I'm paying that much doh-rey-me.
