Here is the shot in horizontal format, which I think I like alot more.

You mean to say, if you get lots of critical comments then you will visit this place? Ok, here I'm.
Nice picture + Nice composition. I think little bit of sharpening is required.

I agree about the sharpening. I think I had it looking good at full reso, but sizing it down destroyed alot of the finer details, of which there are plenty.
I updated the original which a more sharpened version. Does it look oversharpened now, do you think?

I like it, nice bw conversion. Looking at the original, the bw works really well for this shot. Lots of haze on the original though.

Good composition. The B&W version looks much better than the original. Shame about the spots of sensor dust though - if I were you I'd clone them out.

regarding the pp... I can see a line in the sky running parralel to the top of the mountain. Not sure what it is.
Also, like Stewart said, I'd have cloned out those black particles (dust?) you can see in the sky.

Thanks, good catch. It is just a result of some sloppy PP on my part. Uploading an updated version now...

...Any comments on the new version? I changed quite a bit.
I added the frame too...would like to hear what people think of it, since I usually don't frame my shots like that...but it seemed appropriate for this one.

I really like it plan....
That is a very neat foto... i think a horizontal shot would make a great desktop background
