Better Beamer and night football.

Has anyone been using the Better Beamer on a 580 for night football? I was looking into using one with my 300mm. If someone has any results please post them and let me know what your experience has been with this device. I have been shooting in some very low lit fields these past few weeks and I am looking for longer reach on the flash and as always more light.

I've not used one, but have seen one in action at a football game and talked to the 'tog who was using it. He said it got him an extra stop and shed some light on the far side of the field which is a lot better than the standard flash would reach.
