Hey guys,
I am going to be shooting a supermoto race at Miller Motorsports Park in Toele UT at the end of the month, and I am thinking of renting a lense for the trusty old 300D Rebel. I cant decide between a 70-200mm F2.8L IS USM or a 100-400mm f4.5-5.6L IS USM. More than likely the weather will be slightly overcast and I should be able to get pretty close to the track. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Stephen Clark

You can't go wrong with either one. The main difference is extra length from 100-400 and do you need it? If you don't need the length get the 70-200 and the 2.8.

Which one would you be most interested in owning yourself could be a good decision maker?

I have a 70-200 2.8 non IS and think it is a great lens for motorcycles but, if you can't get very close to the track you might enjoy having the extra distance. Especially if you really want to fill the frame on the original shot. Either way it sounds like you will have a great time.
