View Full Version : disabling the flash on the A70

I bought a lens adapter for my A70. The adapter now casts a shadow on the adapter, therefore ruining many shots. The default of the camera is flash-always-on. I always have to remember to disable the flash. Is there any way I can change the default or temporarily disable the flash (other than with a piece of black tape).

Well, its only in always "flash on-mode" when the camera is in the AUTO-mode. If you use the other modes (P, Tv, Av and M) the camera will be configered as you used it last time, e.g. "no flash"
What kind of filters/lenses do you use?

I use a .6x extension I got wioth an old Kowa camera back in the 1970s. It gives me a roughly 21 mm equivalent. But it does block the flash and cast a shadow. I use this lens nearly all the time. I also have a 1.6 x lens I dont use as much (I'm a wide angle guy).
