I have a Canon PowerShot A75 with the CF FC-32MH card it came with. I've had it since Christmas of 2004 and it's worked fine ever since, except for the past few weeks. I went out to take pictures (of some hummingbirds, by the way,) and it worked fine for the first few minutes untill the screen got screwed up. I wasn't doing anything particularly out of the ordinary at the time, I was simply looking down at the screen. All the camera's functions still work; the display still shows, the different settings still work, I can still preview the pictures I've taken, but I can't actually take any pictures anymore. The screen looks black with random brief flashes of distorted picture. When I take any pictures, and upload them, they just look like the same black or distorted pictures I see on my camera's screen.
I've tried all different types of batteries, and it always looks the same. It did work fine again briefly the other day for a few hours, but it got screwed up again. I was just wondering if anyone is familiar with the problem, and if it's fixable. I think it might be the memory card, but I wanna make sure before I go down to the store and try a different one.
