This is my first ever post to a forum and hence slightly nervous. Hence the time it's taken me to post..
Please provide c&C both good and bad.
The good will only make me more confident, the bad I can work on......

This is John McGuiness on his HM Plant Honda during the 2006 I.O.M TT on his opening lap.
I was about 1 mile from the start line and had little time to get a shot off as the guys came through....
Gotta Start somewhere

Suggestions on Processing also welcome

nigelr07 good shot, got nice feeling of speed in it.

Ways to improve would be to use a slower speed and lower ISO as was shot at 1/250 at 400 ISO this would increase the motion blur as you pan.

Definately drop the ISO as it looks quite sunny, personally I would improve panning smoothness before dropping the shutter speed. Start at 1/200 then work your way down as you become more steady
Not a bad shot. Takes a lot of practice.

Thanks folks,
Used high iso as, yes it was sunny, but my (limited) skill and the position I had meant that I wouldn't have much time to react and therefore I wanted what I considered would be a reasonable shutter speed and depth of field for my limited skills. Should see the ones that went in the bin....Thank God for digital photography....

Never shot this type of photography. Would love to. And I'd be proud to get a shot that good.
