I know you said it may be a Nymph Brian but it looks fully grown to me and maybe pregnant ? :) , it about 4mm by the way ...

Excellent shot Gordon. According to one of my bug books this is a planthopper (Delphacidae) as opposed to leafhopper (Cicadellidae)- "most species have short winged and fully winged forms"- so that explains the nymph mistake.

Excellent shot Gordon, good detail for the size. I always get leafhopper and planthopper mixed up :(

I put allsorts under this log - apples - meat - carrots - peas - the whole sunday lunch :D.

Its surprising how many differents types of insect visit such a small area - sometimes in a square foot i bet i could count twenty kinds of insect and the like ...

I saw this some time ago and suspect this is a Leafhopper Nymph :) (about 1mm) ...
