Creating Closeup image or detail shot

Hi I have the need to include or link to a second or even third image to show detail/closeups on certain photos. Is there an easy way to do this or are there any recommendations? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why not use straight links to those detail photos in description text?

I tried that but the link got stripped out when viewing the photo.

Disable " Activate links" from photo browser description texts (misc settings or exhibition editor if you have custom settings on).
