380 EX Sppedlight

Hello everyone, new member here and also new to digital photography. Just bought a second hand Canon D30 and a 380 EX Speedlight.Could someone pplease advise me, is the 380 EX a correct flash for the D30? Also I am based in Harrogate North Yorkshire, is there such a thing as a camera club near me where i could meet and maybe get some brief lessons of other D30 users? :shock:

In short, yes; any of Canon's EX Speedlites will work fine with the D30.

I use the 380EX with my 10D with good results. I would love to upgrade to the 550EX, though!

I have found the 380EX flash I picked up on E-bay for 75 bucks has served my D60 very well. the only thing I would like it to have is a rotatable head.

I'm just down the road on the outskirts of Leeds.
Cannot help with the camera club quest but I'm sure you wil find something locally.
Keep in touch if you need any help - this forum is good on advice, even if some of us get a little tetchy sometimes!
Just go out a shoot lots of photos - best way to learn and to develop your own style.
