This was taken a while back. I've tried to lighten up the tree . What do you think?

Perfect candidate for greyscale conversion The blue in the background is distracting but it does far better in B&W. Your subject is too centered in the middle of the frame and barely clipping the leaves at the top of the tree isn't good.

I actually liked it a lot.
I think the blue in the background adds something to the picture that it will loose if you convert it to B&W.
I will darken the tree back a little as it seem unreal with the odd highlights on it but other than that looks very nice !!

I tried to "kill" the blue. Re-cropped the photo. I can't do anything about the missing leaves (could clone the sky:D). Thanks for your input..

I just did the Scooby-Do "Rhuh?" when I read what you said above.

I am at work now, so no Photoshop on the workstation, so I can't do anything with your shot tonight, but, please look at my edits on THIS SHOT (http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=229639) (the left hand balloon) and THIS SHOT (http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=224669) (the far corner of the bucket), then go back and give that tree some room!

What did you think?

I'll give you a hint. Start by enlarging the canvas.

Then it is just copy and paste.
