Hey I have the non digital version of the rebel. I am thinking of getting the DREBEL and I am wondering if I can just use my lens from my regular one and put it on the digital ? It saves money and I am not sure if I have to buy the lense that comes with the digital.
thanks!

Yes,.
All canon EF/EOS lenses are compatible...
err.. what lens do you allready have?
You may want to get the Kit lens as well,. for $100.00 it is a deal that is hard to beat,. and I think it is very unlikely that your existing lens is the same focal length....

Consider the alternatives to the $100 aforementioned lens. You could go with a lens that costs more than the camera itself, like the $1380 Canon 16-35 F2.8L like I have. I think that the concensus around here is that with few exceptions, that consumer glass doesn't hack it on a digital body.
I found that out using the Sigma non EX series. I have a Sigma 28-80 F3.5-5.6 (not collecting dust) and had a Sigma 70-300 F4.5-5.6. Those 2 lenses were cheap and showed it.

Yes, I whole heartedly agree with CDS. Spend the extra $100 and get the kit lens. You'll be glad you did and in the meantime, you can start saving up for that thousand dollar wide angle "L" lens if that's what you want but I think you'll be more than content with the kit lens for a long while (for the focal length it covers).
