Hello all,

Prior engagements have kept me from attending the race days down at Brands Hatch today and tomorrow but, I had a good day yesterday.

Please disregard any ill-effects that quickly resizing my already compressed web images slightly more has had, not that it'll matter, they are mostly "out of focus" anyway. ;)

It was a tad wet in the morning:

The obligatory "pan shot":

I was bloody glad for my UV filter with this one, the water that was trickling into the oil pan creating those nice droplets was splashing a guess where a lot of it ended up ...

My father casting his eye over the Formula Ford 1600 qualifying:

Only the one major puddle remained, right on the exit of Paddock Hill:

A beer cup on a fence post:

I was signed on with www.ff1600.co.uk (http://www.ff1600.co.uk) but, about all I did with it was find a dry spot under the Hailwood's Bridge on which to eat my lunch. Someone might care though.

Comment or constructively criticise to your collective hearts' contentedness.

Yours, increasingly tired with every key-stroke,

Owain.

Nice pictures, really like the Paddock Hill one!

Not sure sure about the cup images, a nice idea but maybe something more motorsport orientated would have suited as a better subject :p

I'll have to start bringing my own props, rather than relying on what other people leave lying around ... oh wait ...

Nice shots Owain, had to think about the "pan" for a little while ...
Good to see something a bit different.

I took it because I the oil and the droplets but, the caption somehow seemed to fit.

I really enjoyed taking this lot (far from what usually happens) in a more documentary style - both of the event, in particular the weather and some of the people and also with things like the cup shots that are really about littering, which, given the number of bins Brands gives me the opportunity to shoot out of, isn't really excusable at the track or anywhere else. Spa was the worst track for littering and I took a shot of it there, I was quite appauled by what happens to such a beautiful area of country in 24 Hours.

No worries Owain, I was particularly interested in your views on things also happening around the action!

I'm newer to Ten-Tenths than here, but saw them over there last wk and thought they looked familiar ;)

Keep it up!
