Try this in photoshop... Open a photo use the type tool and a wide font like arial black. Go to the layer menu and choose Rasterize>Type. Next go to the filter menue and choose Stylize>Emboss you can play with the numbers but I set the angle at 135 hight 4 and amount 61%. Now on the layer palet pull down menu where it says normal change it to hard light. Thats it very easy. Make an action and you can do it in batch.
