This was an attempt to investigate the problems photographing an intense, variable light source + environs at night in the middle of an eager crowd!! (Yes, I know .. daft) and in wind and rain (just in case it was easy) Camera 300D. Lens 50 f1.8
The problems, of course, are immense. The huge dynamic range from bright flame to almost pitch dark is, of course, impossible - add to that the almost constant movement of the light source down a busy street surrounded by an eager crowd and the challenge is multiplied!!
