Went out the back today looking for insects, and man there are a tonne of these Signal flies around the place...mass congregation!!! Anyways, took this shot cos there was a bunch of them together on the same leaf, doing their funky dances. I really find these guys funny to watch, they go around strutting their wings and it's hilarious.

Thanks Brian, would have liked to have gotten the lead Signal Fly super pin sharp, but they were quite tiny, around 4mm long or so, with a slight breeze making life interesting (I swear every time I go out with the camera a wind comes up out of nowhere!!!).
