10D, blurry viewfinder?

Hello all,

This is my first post here. I got a 10D a few months ago and love it, but recently I have noticed that everything i see through the viewfinder is real blurry, even when I see the auto focus light up. The pictures that come out are nice and sharp, but the blurriness in the viewfinder is really annoying. I tried cleaning the outside lense, but that didnt help. I don't really know what to do next... Should I take it in for service? It is still under warranty.

Tell us how the diopter adjustment is set.

Then change it.

Have you tried adjusting the diopter setting next to the viewfinder?

Might you have inadvertently moved the diopter setting control? It's on the camera body just above and to the right of the viewfinder eyepiece. It's an adjustment mainly for people who wear glasses.

Doh... now i feel dumb :oops: i must have bumped the diopter and spun it all the way around.. that fixed it... thanks for the quick replies guys

Don't worry about it; I wish that all problems with kit were as quickly, easily and inexpensively fixed as that! :)
