Demolition of power plant.... pictures!!!

Well, thursday, they took down the Higgins Pwoer Plant, right near my house, here in Oldsmar, Florida... I thought i would share some pics that i got, there are about 25 in succession, but here are a few. There was all kinds of news and photog there!!
The sun was riht in the top left corner out of the frame... so that is why the pics look wierd... :mad:

Yup, it collapsed, and man was it loud! It took 75 pounds of explosives to blow it up IRRC. I was about a mile or two away from it, and the ground shook!

not crazy about the quality...but i love the sequence!
Im sorry about the quality, the sun really really messed me up, it was just outside the frame, and the lens hood didnt do anything. I threw a circ polarizer on, but only helped a little because of the bad angle of the sun. Afterwards, i moved about a half mile around the park to another beach where ALL of the news crews were, and the sun was DIRECTLY above the building (8am) so they probably had crappier shots than this. I really found a prime location, all the others would have been worse with the sun.
