i think it would work with different composition - it seems to be a bit of a dramatic process, so it needs a more dramatic subject - a couple headstones, no, but maybe a close up of an angel off of a headstone or just a close up of a headstone, etc.

do you get my drift?

It would also help to get the horizon straight.

What is it you were trying to accomplish? What did you do? As an effect it's good except for the regions on the headstones where there is no "noise" but only patches of different shades. Try adding some noise to the areas or feather the edges of the patches.
