I love this girl's red hair. I have wanted to photograph her since I first met her. Let me know how they look. My monitor has been a little screwy lately. I burned out the background in the last one.
Comments and critique welcome.

1 through 3 are perfect.
4 could be changed in one way or another. May be keeping right hand also behind.

The watermark is because I linked them from my smugmug gallery and they are for sale. Anything that I put in the gallery that is for sale I put a watermark on it.

Thanks for the comments.

I know, the hand position was all wrong. That is why I cropped it the way I did trying to disquise it but you caught me anyway.:D :o

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

Hello,

I love the directional lighting in that last shot. Great work!
What is really strange about this shot is that we were in deep shade and I put up a couple of reflectors even though I didnt think they would do anything. I was really surprised at how much light the silver reflectors gave off.
Thanks for the complement.

Char,
I have to say that has to be the nicest work I've seen from you yet. Maybe some of the best I've seen on this forum. The colors just pop. Great comp too. Everything about them is awesome. You should be proud.

These are really great, and I wish my outdoor portraits came out that well. Any info about setup would be helpful. curious about one thing though, why are they for sell? Are they stock photos. I mean they are excellent portraits, but these are usually of value only to the subject, people who know her, and your portfolio. Just asking.

Nice portraits of a beautiful girl.
In #3 she seems to be showing off her ample bustline.
Not every pose works the way we envision. ;)

Very nice work, the hair color is fantastic. I really like #1, love the face in #3. I think the blue shirt works well with the hair color, but in #3 & 4 it appears to be stretched a bit tight. I'd love to see the face in #3 with a little more relaxed pose.

Very Nice images. 1&2 are the overall best. 3 is not very flattering due to the elbow pointed at the camera and show the waist line, even moderatly full figured ladies will object to side on shots. In the 4th she is leaning hard on her left arm causing her tricep to enlarge making her arms look bigger than they are.

Very lovely model and I love the open shade you used with her skin type.

Good job,

Les

Thank you all for your comments and suggestions. You have made my day with your complements and I will take your suggestions to heart and learn from them. As for setup, it was nothing special. Used 580ex for fill flash on all except the last one. I used 2 reflectors for that. Shot these with 70-200 4.0 using a tripod. They were all in the shade as it was a very sunny day. I shot raw.

I know what you mean about the tight shirt and the bosom on #3. My husband noticed the bosom immediately.;)

There were a lot more but her hair kept falling across her eye and I didnt see it so a lot of them were spoiled by that. From now on I will have hairspray in my camera bag. lol

Show us those too. I shoot loads of fashion and long ago learned that if the hair is in the right place across the face it can look quite appealing.

Again good job, let me know if that model ever decides to come to northern CA. I would like to work with her.

#3 is not a flattering pose/angle for her.

I really like the first two the most. You did a pretty good job Char. Keep it up. I would also like to see a couple with her hair covering her eyes. I like those type of photos for some reason.
