Hi
I bought a second hand S40, and when I take pictures they are slightly crooked, I can even see this when comparing the viewfinder to the LCD, is there a way of adjusting this other than rotating the image once I have downloaded it.

Do you mean that you can see that the viewfinder is crooked? Or do you suffer from my problem whereby all my shots are out of kilter, by (usually) 0.7 degrees! This seems to be the case whether I use the LCD or the viewfinder. I think it's my eye balls that are on the slant!!!
I use PSP 8 and the straighten/autocrop feature as a work around. I keep practising to get my pics straight, but I'm not winning. It's got to the point I do a rotate right, 0.7 degrees as a matter of course.

Hi
This is a definate misalignment of the CCD, in order to get the picture totally accurate I have to hold the camera at a slight angle otherwise the result is crooked. It is also obvious if I allign the picture with the viewfinder and then look at the LCD image.

Is it too late to get your money back from buying a camera with a crooked CCD. Perhaps use the 30day or whatever warranty that the store provides to get the CCD replaced with an aligned one.
