Does linear sharpen only work on pics take with the D30? Will it work on G1 pics?

I don't think it works on G1 pix. I have a G1 along with the D30. LinearSharpen needs 16bits linear TIFF, and the G1 is not capable of generating a 16bits LinearTIFF image.

I just tested out, and the proof is again NO. Can't convert G1 RAW to 16bits Linear TIFF.

Canon cameras that are capable of 16bits LinearTIFF:
1D,D60,D30,G2,S40,S30

Looking around, someone said that you can use it with 8bits non-linear by doing some tweaking. Click on the link: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=2219

If someone could shoot me a RAW graycarded Kodak Q60 with D60 and mail it to me I'll see if LS can be made to work with it.

Well, now I know why LS was making my G1 photos not better at all but worse.
Are we stuck with making our own retouches or are there other options?

How do you obtain the program to do the linerar sharpen? I have the EOS 1D and I'm learning a lot, and would like to use that program...

Please help.
