I need to sync the times on my cameras, but have avoided ever hooking any of them up to the PC so far. Is there anything that can go wrong? Ways to avoid? I'm the technology equivalent of a klutz. I'd love to have them in sync before the upcoming weekend shooting, but if there's a chance I could mess them up, I'd rather wait for a less important weekend.

Thanks,
-melissa

Welcom to POTN, Melissa. If you're a technology klutz, why look for a high-tech method of synching the clocks? What's wrong with setting one camera, then 1 minute later setting the other to the same time +1 minute? How accurately do they need to be synched anyway? And if they're out of synch, you can fix the EXIF data on the photos later anyway, using software like BreezeBrowser.

They are as close as I could get them manually, but I have goals from Saturday night's game in reverse order - actually have the celebrating from the first goal, then the second goal and celebrating, then the first goal - as I'm shooting action and using PhotoMechanic to combine the camera takes by renaming using the timestamp.

It's not horrible, but I did think I had gone crazy when editing postgame and I hit the second goal w/o seeing the first - didn't think to continue and kept looking at earlier shots as I was sure I had gotten the shot.

this should be easy to do manually. just get to the point that you are about to hit SET to set the time on both cameras and then push both buttons at the same time.
