Thanks guys. I was not able resist letting this nice view get by. Had to pull over to take a couple of shots and get back to the end of the long line of cars going up to Big Bear Lake.

Nice horizon with latitudes of mother natures marvelous lines.
On the way back, just east of lack you get several occasions to capture outstanding view of San Bernardino. This view changes often so if near by, it pays to visit several times on the same day, possible from early morning before sun rise.
The other interesting there up there is cloud formations. I have had some lenticular clouds that before sun rise that would leave no doubts about aligns UFO invasions.
Hope to see more from your visit.

Samsen,

Here's more from that trip. Acually, we went there for the Oktoberfest. Most of the indoor events were taken using the 50 F1.4, no flash. Most of the outdoor are 100-400 + 1.4x. We also did a hike near the discovery center to get a view from the other side from up above. On our way back, we took the 38. There were also great views on that side. There was a view of 2 mountains and a valley in between with clouds overhead, but we were in a hurry, so we did not stop. Another missed oportunity.

Amazing depth perception due to the haze. Good catch! IMO the foreground is distracting.
