What exactly are you referring to when you save "XMP files"? I thought XMP was just a file used by Photoshop for storing image info. I can't see how my XMP info for one of my images can be of any use to you and vice versa. Or am I missing something?

Since you sound like you think im out of my mind, let me tell you this, when you have a RAW picture in CS2 and you are about to PP, on your right hand side, theres a little fan called "settings" as you see in my screenshot, I have quite alot after doing PP for quite some time, when I find a cool looking gradient I save it, for use on other pictures!

To convince you im about to give up some of these setting ( they are saved in XMP )

try loading them when you have an RAW image open in CS2, get back to me tell me what you think.

Maybe you understand know?

www.emjay-graphics.dk/zip/XMP.zip get it down :)

you load them the same place , just right hand side og the settings there is a tiny arrow >, press it.

good luck

Thanks for sharing. I'll certainly check them out. I don't have any to share though as I usually just go shot by shot. I only shoot for fun and only get to spend a short amount of time PPing so I haven't got to experiment much. I have had the itch to try some new stuff lately though.

I realize its not hte correct platform, but its a much simpler proccess and its free to use right now, and an amazing product, and muc simpler to share between. And eventually will work with ACR, as it used teh ACR engine, then put it on steroids. Much better editign options than the current ACR gives you.

OK, I now understand what you are talking about. Thanks for clarifying that for me. And thanks for the offer for me to try your XMP files. Unfortunately, I'm still in PSCS so I can't make use of the tone curves in your XMP files.

My presets are mainly for B&W conversions, what do yours do?

Ha-ha. It took me reading two of his post with those #s in them to figure out what he meant by them. It does save on bandwidth by not having to repeat a previous post in a quote. ;)
