ixus 400 and ixus V the same display?

i have a ixus 400 with broken display and now want to change it. can i take the display from a older canon ixus and change it ? e.g. the ixus v, v2 or v3?

I take it you mean the LCD itself is cracked or malfunctioning. If the parts are the same, you'll have better luck than if they differ. Check with Canon if the parts are the same (same part number). If the parts are different, it might work well, it might work strangely (too bright, too dark, colour shift...), it might not work at all or even connect up.

i am sorry but here in germany there is no way to get information from canon about tft parts! you can only sent the camera there for repairing it for a lot of money! that is canon germany, no order of parts and no information....

It's not possible. Ixus v has a different lcd than the ixus 400. try ordering it in another country if they won't send it to you in Germany! the parts nr is WG2-5243-000. no other ixus lcd will fit onto the ixus 400.
