Ok I got my 5D very happy with it. There is some dust, but who cares...
Now the question is what is the good remote for 5D
I don;t want to spend 200$ i want something reasonable in terms of price and fuctions.
Please share you knowledge and experience
Thanks

I use the TC-80N3 which is the timer remote control. Its excellent as you can do long bulb exposures and leave the camera to its own devices. I'm not sure how much it is in the US, but in the UK it can be bought for about £80.

Sadly no. The only way that might work is the adapter you linked to in your previous thread on remotes. Another consideration is Zigview. The 'R' vcersion or the new S2 both apparently offer timed exposures. :)

jev,
Another option is the Canon RS-80N3 (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home;jsessionid=F1RbDhr8Lf!-1566359599?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=164276&is=REG).
It does everything your shutter button does for under $50.

Be aware, though, that the Rebel XT (350D) and Rebel XTi (400D) have an E3 connector (2.5mm stereo jack plug), not N3 - so you want E3 remotes for these models.
It's possible to make an N3 to E3 adapter (if you really want, you can make one by cutting the socket end off an N3 extension lead, and soldering a 2.5mm stereo jack plug to the cut end), but I'm not sure whether such an adapter is commercially available.
The alternative is to cut the lead of your N3 remote and soldering a 2.5mm stereo jack plug to the cut end. You can use the N3 plug on the other end of the lead to make an E3 to N3 adapter so that you can still use the remote with N3 cameras.
