Just like to share a picture i took at Melbourne F1GP earlier this year.

aisen thats a nice shot, I like it. Would have been better had the car turned into the corner a bit more showing the side of the car. Love the heat haze! You have nailed the focus as it is sharp as a tack ;) What lens and body did you use here?

Amazing shot, color and clarity! Being a Formula One fan, I certainly appreciate that this Renault was on the move, perhaps midway round a high speed corner as the front right wheel has loads of camber and just a small area left in contact with the circuit.

Looks like a 20D with 400mm FL.

You almost guessed it...taken with 20D with 70-200 IS with 2x Extender & monopod at 400mm. Next year will be 1 series cam (wait and see what canon has to offer in 2007)

I did guess it - I said 400mm FL (focal length), not 400mm lens.;)

But will the new 1-series be available by March? I'm thinking I'll still be shooting with my current bodies for at least six months even if there is a Q1 announcement.
