Hello everyone and I apologize in advance for the newbie question.
I've been cutting my teeth with RAW and enjoying the intuitive controls of Photoshop CS but I'm a bit confused about ICC profiles.
It appears that the only time I can assign a custom profile for my 300D is after the RAW conversion has been made and the file is opened within Photoshop. Unfortunatley at this point, I have already performed all my major "darkroom" work and assigning a profile just screws up my adjustments.
So the question at hand is: Can an ICC profile be assigned within the CS Browser so that a correction is made to the RAW image before conversion?
Workflow is:
Copy images to HD
Browse and adjust with Photoshop CS' ARC 2.0
Fine tune if needed within Photoshop
Batch convert and save as JPEG (for iPhoto cataloging) in another location on HD.
I usually don't bother saving as TIFF since I have the original RAW files with edits.
Thanks for any insight.
Chad
