I thought this might be of interest to some of you. Check it out. How'd you like this camera strapped around your neck, huh?

With it's 1.3 megapixel CCD I doubt it'll be of much use to anybody these days except maybe an avid collector. :)
Also of interest in the same web site are the precursors to the P&S digital cameras which were referred to as "digital still video cameras".

Funny you should mention it. I am not a turncoat, but out of interest, I got to handle the Kodak Pro 14N. Turning it vertical it is very difficult to hold as it is rather big. I am glad I went Canon. I wouldn't mind a Kodak/Canon venture and wiping Nikon off the map. They made some really great cameras back in the day (1996).

Kodak WAS a pioneer,. they used to be the only game in town (them and Minolta!) It is funny how they both slipped behind. The 14N has nothingon the 1Ds... Nothing.
Minolta is poised to release a DSLR this year.... first one in ages.

2 PCMCIA slots!?!? Oh, boy  , just what we need...a heated debate on which CF card gets used first, or are they used in parallel, or maybe alternating serially depending on which one has less pictures in it, or...

Simpler than that, they are striped pcmcia raid slots, twice as much memory with half the storage, the only way forward
Best regards

One of my ebay customers had that exact model so i asked about it and got him to email me some examples. This was over 1.5 years ago when i was still lusting for a DSLR body
Later i found some interesting details of how it was made.Apparently the sensor was made in a more difficult fashion than the current highly interpolated,cheap-to-make ones.Something about etching the whole thing down so that it had no wires taking up sensor space and lots of fill factor to each pixel location.Anyway, the end result was that it had nice sharp images straight from the camera.
That guy tried to sell it a few months back but i don't think it went over au$400 so i think he kept it.
The funny thing is it has genuine EOS 1 mechanicals so you can't even wear the stupid thing out!
