apart from a case of lone tree syndrome. nice shots.

It is always worth while going around looking at things... that way you learn to see.
None of these are world shattering... but when you find the right subject you will be ready.

No one can resits lone trees.
there are millions of shots of them.
it's best to leave them where you find them.
They do no one any harm and they can't say no.

how many photos on this site are 'world shattering'?

i usually wouldn't shoot something like the tree, but as i was trying to describe, there was one particular ansel adams picture i remembered as a kid. when i saw this tree it reminded me of this. it needs to be cropped for sure, i just hadn't gotten around to it.
none of the shots blew me away either, but thought a few of them were interesting enough to be posted.

cheers

lone "things" need to be photographed. Too often we have great things with not so great things in their way - building, civilization things like radio towers, utility poles, power towers, as well as houses and ugly scappy bushes and trees.

Someone posted a an image for critique that ws a lone tree in a sand area with nothing but the sand and tree and he asked if the frame was too simple. It was just right. Too often we don't find "simple" areas to look at in our lives. We have billboard on our commute to work and cars infront of and behind us to mind. We all need to find more simplicity in our lives. :)
