Can we have this thread for suggestions and findings of the CF's ?

For instance, I set CF-14 to "1" all the time. I shoot a lot of portrait outdoors with sunsets and bright areas behind the subject, this is the only way I can get the right fill. After testing it indoors, I can't see any difference if CF14 is 0 or 1 for indoor shots. Oh yeah, this is all with the 550EX flash attached.

I'm the same; 550EX, pictures against sky/fairly bright backgrounds - disable auto fill reduction.

Custom function C.Fn-02

Set to 1 - Shooting not possible without CF card.

The default (0) allows you to shoot without a CF card in place.. Yes, there is a warning in the viewfinder and on the LCD display, but sometimes you miss it... As I did once... In my excitement to get a great shot, I wasn't paying attention.. Of course I didn't get the great shot :(

I always make sure C.Fn-02 is set to 1...

Alas, as my wife found out, you can still shoot in the Auto modes without a CF card. :(

On a 5D C.Fn-13 AF point selection method set to 1 multi-controller direct. Let's me use thumb to quickly pick any point.

On a 5D C.Fn-17 AF Point activation area. set to 1 expanded: When using AI Servo it enables the 6 assist points around the center AF point.
