Looks too soft and dark for my taste.

I really like the frame. The image needs work IMHO. Too soft and too flat. The effect can work if you would keep the eyes and lips brighter and sharper.

I would widen the picture to show more, the crop is too tight in the frame.

I'm sorry, I don't like it. All I can say is: Bride of Chucky :/

Here is your image brightened and enhanced. I hope this helps others see what you were trying to accomplish.

the edited shot just makes that photo look fantastic!

the original is extremely soft, with terrible compression. There are lots of artifacts and posterization, especially in the edited shot where the shadows have been lightened. I'd reshoot it if I were you. Make sure to include more of the neck and ears this time was well, it will be far more flattering

I like it but think it would be better if the crop was not so tight as it gives me the feeling she is being crushed.:D

I think it needs more "texture" to look like it was from 1860..I do like it though.

common sense reading the title would tell mehe was trying to create a picture that looks like something that would have been taken in 1860?

it looks like she's mad because you stuck her in a tight box and underexposed her.
