I wanna see that ring on her finger! That's amazing! Maybe a litle too much blur in that first shot though.

You cropped his ear (or too close to it) in #2, and the flash makes them look really shinny.

Do you have a full body solo shot of her?

Is that a darkened up effect in #5? I find it distracting expecially against his over exposed coat.

If you had an assistant, it would have been nice to have them hold her veil out of shot and let it go just before snapping #6, it looks akward, like you took the shot too soon.

Thanks for the comments,

1. I've got that shot without the blur too, so the couple can choose their favourite. I like the blur so will give them the option.

2. It was really humid and extremely hot, they were real sweaty, what could I have done differently?

3. I do have a solo of her, but wanted comments on the above.

4. It wasn't a darkend effect, as I said the light became very low, real fast, so that was what it looked like at that moment, some clouds lifted and made it a bit lighter again later. As for the blown out: I can see detail (buttons) and my pictures print exactly as I see them (did a colour balance on my screen) but will check it again, maybe my brightness is to low?

6. That was a request from the bride.

Hi Su,

Number 1 looks a little dark - might be worth brightening it while dulling the highlight on the top band of the ring a little.

Number 2 looks a little too tight for my liking and you could clone out the shiny bits on their foreheads and cheeks - or at least dull them a little.

Nice posing in 3 and 4 - background is a little dull in them (particularly 4), but you have to work with what you've got.

Number 5 - the background is too underexposed for my liking. The flash has exposed them ok, but the metering looks like P mode where the camera has just exposed the couple correctly with flash. If so, try using Av mode - than the camera will expose for the background correctly and the flash will be used as fill. You can always increase your flash output if needed.

Number 6 is ok for me - but a little less DOF would improve it. Try shooting at a wider aperture to achieve this - once again Av mode is your friend.

Number 7 could be improved by showing a bit more of her dress - looks a little like her dress is falling down at the moment.

Number 8 - well the harsh light isn't helping here. A fold out difuser held by an assistant or a member of the wedding party will help with this.

Cheers,

Chris

Too much flash in most shots IMHO.
