Trying to find out if it's possible to transfer pics from HD to camera's
compact flashcard. I can't seem to AFTER they've been edited. Message
indicates they were edited or pics not taken by Canon camera. Using ZoomBrowser.

'Card Readers' - possible to download pics from HD to compact flashcard
via card reader?

Thanks.

You can upload images back to a CF card by using a CF card reader. You will not be able to view the edited images on your camera, but you can bring the CF card to a photolab for printing if you want.

I have copied pictures back to the memory card after editing them, via my card reader. However, in order to view them on the camera, they had to be in the same directory structure with the same naming convention that the camera uses. Even pictures that I edited could be viewed, however it didn't have a preview in the thumbnails view. I actually use the A70 to display sample pictures on a TV for a class I'm teaching.

When you upload the pictures by using ZoomBrowser it should work fine.

Could you be more specific about what directory structure and naming convention (or examples of such) you are referring to please? I had the impression (for example in Windows XP) that even if you rotated the file, you couldn't upload it to your camera for viewing. When you wrote "Even pictures that I edited could be viewed, however it didn't have a preview in the thumbnails view," do you mean in the camera or in ZoomBrowser, or on your TV, or what? Thanks, in advance, for your clarification.
