First of all I apologize for placing this thread here, I don't know where it woulf fall under. A friend of mine wants to make this picture type thingy and I was wondering if photoshop or any other program is capable of doing this. I don't know what its called but its like when a bunch of photos are put together to make one large picture, like the smaller pictures' shades are changed and stuff so that when you look at the bunch pof images from afar they make one large picture. Sorry if this sounds confusing, it was the best I could describe it.

a 'mosaic', a 'collage', a 'montage'? Since I don't get into graphic design, and stick only to postprocessing, I'll have to pass the baton to someone else about which program to use! (likely answer = Photoshop)

i just googled mosaic, that is what i need, pretty sure that is it, but instead of using random pieces of stuf i want to use photos, I dont know if there is a moe specific name for that. So now that I know what it is, how do I do it, is it possiblw with cs2?

I think you are talking about mosaic....i think there is a plugin for photoshop...

This is exactly what you want - and it's free. Read the instructions well and make sure you don't use 3000px images as tiles - it goes MUCH faster when you do what the instructions suggest.
