Working on a zookbook design right now got me thinking. I usually don't see anybody post their finished product. So if you have some finsihed albums, post em up! :D
Just to get things started, heres a slideshow of the current album in its current form, but will be changed around a bit before being ordered next week.
Sorry, its a large file so it'll take a minute to load. 56k stay away.

Very pollished. Your photo work is impressive. Beauty of a day, beautiful couple, great venue, and a great album layout. Hard to beat. My only nit was in some of the pages where the B&G shots are overlapping, the high image obscured one or the other in the shot below. Didn't seem quite right. Otherwise, I'm liking it a lot!!

VERY nice!!! The music really makes the photos come alive. Its really nice to see this entire album. It makes me think that some of the shots that I take that seem so "ordinary" are really important. They tell the story of the day and in context are anything but ordinary.

yup, there can be a time and place for all shots to tell a full story. Usually we only share the keepers, but the B&G need more than that.

That's a great album, with great photos. I know this isn't a critique thread, but i'm going to make a few observations, hoping they help, as I know I always want to improve myself. I find the circular images a little distracting, and i'm not a big fan of fisheyes (except to help fish see). There's always a temptation to try to get as many images in as you can, but the best albums i've seen have plenty of negative (empty) space - that's one thing I have to improve on myself. The trick is getting the customer to agree, since things are often priced by the page.
I've posted a few albums in the past, I don't have anything to show right now though.

thanks tim
the fisheye was by request of teh couple, I had to go rent it. Not my thing at all. All the circular images are the fisheye shots, 8mm on a 1.3x doesn't leave many other options.
They're looking it over right now, but I will probably make some more changes as I go anyway.

Very nice album. Just out of curiousity, where is the book bound? In the middle of the pages you show or at the side?

Well done on the album. I like it very much...except for the fish eye apertures. I don't mind the odd fish eye shot but the circular apertures aren't easy on my eye. I bet the bride and groom will be delighted with it.It flows well.
Here is a link to a couple I have done. Anne-Marie and Dan's is the most recent. I've just signed up to smugmug so it isn't as I want it yet.

Great album. As I looked at it, I found myself being envious of all the time you got with the bride, groom and bridal party. It's tough to deliver a good product when time constraints or tardy attendants get in the way. You had time to get them where you wanted them and it really added to the overall feeling of the book.
I'm looking forward to shooting a wedding outside. Not many chances for that around where I work and not many locations for it either. Of course, the fact that you had beautiful subjects on a perfect day helped a little ;-).

My business partner has been a graphics designer for over fifteen years and does all our album design. We also use Zookbook and asuka.
'th3r0m'-The book is bound in the middle, but have the narrowest gap compared to others with the same type of product. Also, the pages lay perfectly flat, another reason why we use them.
'coreypolis'-Good job by the way!
I'm attempting to do my first design and have found it very challenging.

lime...it was good to look over your albums. You have a lot of experience in designing them. Out of interest...how much input do you "allow" the couple? Do you ask them much about their preferences as to style or just do it yourselves? I notice you have different styles and wondered how much was of your own choosing based on the style of the wedding.

'blueaerodynamique'-My business partner does all our album design. The initial design/style comes from us (based on the wedding) and once the couple have seen it, then they can make reasonable changes (which we tell them during the initial meeting). For the most part the changes have been very few, swap some images here and there at the most.

"Polis Photography has all of the lWe have on staff an elite photographer and designer, passionate artists dedicated to reinventing the art of wedding photography."
I think your site is great, but I'm confused on this part of your page.
And there is a line in your footer that blocks your text on this same page.
Thanks for sharing!
