I just got my copy of Understanding Exposure the other day. Clarifies a few things I was fuzzy on. Just wondering if there is a book out there that is as useful for flash photography?

Understand Exposure is great. Not sure there is an equivalent for flash photography personally. But that depends a bit on what sort of flash photography you're talking about ... just using your 580EX, or do you want the works?? (i.e. studio strobes etc.)

I think the stickies here have some great linked resources that will help you piece together how flash photography works.

Cheers.

I read through the entire EOS Flash bible today at work.

Looking for something that covers a little of both actually, the 580EX and studio strobes.

I have another book that I don't like at all, it covers studio lighting in exactly 2 pages... Not very informitive :) Big thick book that effectly tells you not much at all.

This is a good book if you're looking mostly at portraits, but also in general -- but doesn't cover on camera flashes.

I'd also highly recommend strobist.blogspot.com.

Cheers.
