This will hopefully be a breeze to answer for one of you guys
I have a image that I want to select part of using the pen tool creating a path with bezier curves in PSP or Photoshop.
I want to then cut this part of the image out and create a new image from it.
(the same way you can with the freehand selection tool, or indeed any of the other selection tools)
It is the best way to cut out smooth edged shapes and I know it can be done (I've seen it done and I have a book that tells me to do it, just not how)
All I get is a new shape on a new layer that doesn't contain the information from the layer beneath it. The help file is no good and I have had a look in Google but can't find what I'm looking for.
I know there are other methods of selection and I know how to use them so no alternate suggestions please
Many thanks for any help
