Using the S50 in auto mode with factory default settings, I am getting intermittent bad focussing on (say) a series of frames in a well lit situation without movement of camera or scene content.
I have noticed that the pressing the shutter halfway in (to get the autofocus to work) brings up the small green autofocus frame in random positions, with sometimes multiple green frames showing.
On a sequence of similar test frames, allowing time for the system to reset itself between shots, some frames will be soft. Occasionally the shutter button will respond very slowly to the press.
I suspect a camera fault but wanted to check other opinions before losing it for several weeks.
