I'm about to buy the Canon EF 24/1.4L lens. Opinions about it seem to vary a lot on the 'net, and I would appreciate your thoughts on this lens. Strengths, weaknesses, specifically with an EOS- 10D.

24/2.8 works for me.

Not an "L". Not USM, no FTM. But the optical quality is great.

Reportedly, at 2.8 the lenses are optically similar.

If you need F1.4, then you have no choice.
